Mark Hines, Attorney-at-Law

Mark Hines

Attorney-at-Law

Attorney Mark Hines and his family have lived in Cleburne for many years. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, where his father practiced medicine. At the age of 16, Mark became an Eagle Scout, an accomplishment he is still proud of today. After attending college at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas (where he double majored in Business Administration and Finance), Mark attended law school at The University of Houston.

After practicing briefly in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Mark decided to move to Cleburne. His initial plan was to live in a new place, meet some new people, and move on after a couple of years. Mark’s plans changed quickly after he met his wife-to-be, a local girl named Lindsey. Many years later, and after two kids, two horses, two dogs, Mark is happily stuck in Cleburne and has no plans of leaving any time soon.

Mark is a Member of the State Bar of Texas and the Johnson County Bar Association. He currently serves as the district chairperson of the District 7 grievance committee for the State Bar of Texas, which analyzes and processes grievances filed against attorneys in that district.

Mark also serves on the Real Estate Legislative Affairs Committee for the Real Estate Probate and Trusts Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, which is responsible for reviewing new legislation and informing other practitioners of the legislation which impacts real estate, probate, and trust attorneys. Mark is a past board member of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and is a past Treasurer of the Johnson County Bar Association.
